Science and You
“When you think about communicating research to public audiences, who is the public?” was the question I was asked at the Science Centers World Summit last week in Mechelen. The public is YOU was my answer! Science isn’t just for scientists, policy makers, journalists or even just for a particular age or stage of learning. Science is for everyone. That is what the conference Science and You that will take place from the 1st to the 6th June in the Lorraine Region in France is trying to demonstrate. Scientists know how wonderful science is and how relevant it is to our daily lives. This passion should be shared. In the words of Anne Glover, Chief Science Advisor to the EU “Science not communicated is Science not done”.
