ESOF2014 the place to be in June this year!
From the 21st to the 26th June 2014, ESOF2014 wil take place in Copenhagen. ESOF stands for Euroscience Open Forum and is a scientific conference that brings together over 6000 scientists, journalists, business people, politicians etc to discuss the direction that research is taking in Europe. It is composed of various parallel programmes including a core science programme that is interdisciplinary and fosters debate and discussion on topical science issues and a public engagement programme Science in the City.
Science in the City is a week long of public engagement activities that take place in the heart and throughout the city in such a fashion that whilst the scientists and other experts meet in the congress center, the city where ESOF is hosted is just as excited by the event as it is itself buzzing about science. The Science in the City event is what makes each ESOF so special as indeed, the national specificity of the European country where ESOF is hosted is reflected in those activities.
